FAQs
For which tests is overnight fasting required?
In order to perform the tests which requires fasting state of the patient, an overnight fasting for about 8-12 hours is mandatory. No food and alcohol can be consumed. Although water can be taken during the fasting period.
A daytime fasting will not be accepted.
For the following blood tests, overnight fast is required. The patient can drink only water during this period.

Can I have water during fasting period?
Yes, normal intake of water can be taken.
Can I have black tea or black coffee without sugar and milk during fasting?
You may drink plain water only. Do not drink coffee, tea, soda (regular or diet) or any other beverages. Do not smoke, chew gum (regular or sugar-free) or exercise.
For PP blood sugar test, when should the timing be counted, from the beginning of the meal or from the end of the meal?
The postprandial test is generally undertaken for two hours and it precisely measures the glucose in the blood two hours after eating a meal. The timing for the same begins from the start of the meal.
Is fasting required for thyroid function test?
It can be done with or without fasting as per the clinicians instructions.
When will I get reports of RFT and LFT, if my blood sample is collected after 1 PM?
Same day, after 6.00 PM.
What is the right age to start cervical cancer screening
As per ACS (2020) guidelines, it should be started at 25 years of age.
How frequently should cervical cancer screening be done?
With cytology alone (PAP smear), it should be done every 3 years and with primary HPV testing or contesting with PAP smear, it should be done every 5 years.
How frequently HbA1C should be monitored to check diabetes control?
Every 3 months.
Which is a better test to monitor long term diabetic control? Fasting blood sugar or HbA1C?

No. You can donate blood only after the age of 18 years.
Are home collection services available in your hospital?

How do I access my lab reports?
Lab reports will be emailed to you on your registered Email ID.
Can I bring urine from home for testing purpose?
For routine urine examination, urine should be collected in sterile container provided only by the laboratory. For 24- hour urine test, urine should be collected as per the instructions provided by the technical staff.
