Going Home
Discharge
Your Consultant will inform you when you are ready for discharge. It is advisable that you make arrangements with a family member or friend to accompany you home on the day of discharge. A Discharge Card will be given to you before you leave the ward. If you need a medical certificate, please inform the Duty Medical Officer of the ward and your Consultant in advance. If medication is required, it will be dispensed to you at your bedside or you can collect them from the pharmacy. Please ask the Staff Nurse for specific instructions.
Please note that there is a charge for obtaining Medical Certificate & Medico Legal Certificate
