If you daily do exercise your blood pressure and cholesterol level goes down. The good exercises are working, driving a cycle and swimming.

Fat clogs arteries, which can cause heart attack. You should take lot of fresh, green salads and vegetables, and also take milk and dairy products as they are low in fat. Instead of red meat one should take chicken and fish.

If your blood pressure is high it makes your heart work harder. You should less of salt in your diet and learn relation techniques. If your blood pressure is too high you should take medicines but never stop taking medicines on your own.

Diabetes Mellitus is slowly relentlessly progressive disorder which requires frequent blood sugar monitoring and careful planning of medications, insulin dosage, meal adjustment and regular walk, exercise programme.

Smoking makes you prone to heart disease. If you are woman smoker and take birth control pills, your risk of developing heart disease is even higher.

If you drink excess alcohol on a regular basis it can increase your blood pressure and risk of heart ailments.

A proper health screening provides the re-assurance of health status at a age group, It gives an opportunity for early detection and timely action to eliminate any medical problem/disorder.

Preparation for the Health Check-up and the Instructions to be followed for a Health Check-up

  1. Kindly take prior appointment at least 24 hours in advance, call 022-27822203 / 27821659 Ext 289.
  2. Cancellations should be informed at least 24 hours in advance.
  3. Overnight fasting required for 10-12 hours.
  4. Report to Hospital for health Check-up in empty stomach- only water can be taken.
  5. You can take regular medicines with water. Diabetic patient should not take anti-diabetic drugs in the morning. Please carry the drug/insulin along with you to have it with the breakfast.
  6. Female Executive: Urine routine and Pap smear test cannot be done during menstruation (periods).
  7. Avoid smoking & consuming alcohol for a minimum of 12 hours before check-up.
  8. Bring urine & stool sample in a clean container, container can be collected from Health Check-up Department.
  9. Bring all your earlier medical reports, prescription if available along with regular medicine.
  10. The Consultant Physician, based on the standard tests in the package, will give opinion and advice. Any further tests or Consultation recommended by the Consultant which is not a part of the package will be charged extra. The availability of reports in such instances will depend on the nature of the tests.
  11. All additional tests/investigations will be offered at 10% discount.
